Hawks get second place Summer Slam

Hawks defeated the 14U Fayetteville Fear 8-3 late last night. Due to rain delays our 7:00 game didn't start until 9:30. Our second game was postponed until 1:00 today and then we will go into championship bracket play. The Hawks continued the next day with a three game gauntlet, defeating two Area Stars 14U teams 11 to 3, and 10 to 3. The championship game was against the Raleigh Rangers. After a furious 7th inning rally to tie the game, the Rangers won 7-6 in the 8th inning. The Hawks spent 10 1/2 hours at the baseball field and played 3 games, but came up 1 run short of the championship.
